Jump to Blast Fat

So, you’ve tried our three other tips to blast away fat – Shock your Body (Tip #1), Slowing it down (Tip #2), and Mixing it up (Tip #3). Do you have a favorite yet? Seeing any results? Well, here’s Tip #4 to Blast away even more fat – Jump!

When we say jump, we mean it. We’re talking about plyometrics – jumping, leaping, hopping, bounding, skipping – which burns big-time calories and builds lean muscle very quickly. Plyometrics will improve your speed and your strength, giving you explosive power. Including plyos into your workout program will make your workout more intense and far more complete.

The easiest way to get started is with squat jumps. After a set of squats, do a set of squat jumps: start in the squat position, jump up and extend your arms overhead (like you’re reaching for the ceiling). Land softly with knees bent and your arms swinging behind you. Repeat 9 more times.

Try incorporating plyometrics one to two times a week, with at least 48 hours between plyo workouts, and notice your results after one month. You should see a difference.
